If you’re a fan of greek mythology as well as romance, this one’s for you. It tells the tale of greek gods in a more modern setting, retelling the story of Persephone and Hades. With stunning visuals and a captivating story, every chapter leaves you craving more.

2. Sweet Home (Carnby Kim/Youngchan Hwang)

This South Korean webtoon gave birth to an amazing Netflix show with the same name and for good reason. It has everything you need! A unique protagonist, a colourful cast and a monster apocalypse. The story makes one become wary of their own human desire and how it affects the world.

3. Melvina’s Therapy (A. Rasen)

Horror is a genre thats hard to do right, and is especially hard without the aid of animation and sound. Despite that, the artist of “Melvina’s Therapy” has nailed it. The twists and turns as well as the intricate details in the story line are breath taking. The author also leaves references to classic horror films which, as a horror fan, is a huge plus.

4. Tales of the Unusual (Sungdae Oh)

As we are already on the subject of horror, “Tales of the Unusual” is a fantastic webtoon in that genre. It consists of short stories that are similar in style to the famous mangaka, Juniji Ito. The stories range from horror to heart warming to comedy. If you prefer not to commit to one long story line, this webtoon is perfect for you.

5. True Beauty (Yaongyi)

This slice of life webtoon is relatable and heart warming. It depicts the struggle most young girls have with their self image. It proves that beauty is only skin deep. The simple and pleasing aesthetic art style makes it a great read. Additionally, the romantic plot line and cliffhangers make it hard to put down.
